Shop with a Cop: A Heart-Warming Event
|

Once again our
local
Thanks to the
generosity of many area law enforcement
officers and business sponsors of the Red
River Valley Lodge’s Annual Golf Tourney
along with the McDonalds Restaurant on
The Fraternal
Order of Police with volunteer
representatives from Cass County Sheriff’s
Office, Fargo Police Department, and West
Fargo Police Department shared an afternoon
with area children.
Also, our local Micro-soft office
provided gift wrap and a dozen or more
employees to do the wrapping right in the
Wal-Mart store after the purchases were
complete. The Wal-Mart store also donated
$250.00 for the worthy event.
It was another
heart-warming experience to see the
children’s eyes sparkle with enthusiasm,
excitement and anticipation. Most of the
children who participated purchased gifts
for their families or close friends.

receive)
It’s really nice
seeing many of the same officers participate
year after year.
If you have not experienced our Shop
with a Cop program first hand, I encourage
you to volunteer with your local lodges
program next season.
It takes only but a few hours, but

ROLLY SANDVIG MEMORIAL BOWLING TOURNAMENT The Red River Valley Lodge # 1 held its annual Rolly Sandvig Memorial Bowling Tourney on March 15th at the Stars and Strikes Bowling Alley in West Fargo. There were 40 teams in attendance. The annual bowling tournament assists with fund raising which allows area lodge members to attend various training session locally and around the country. Many businesses sponsor the annual event and door prizes were giving away representing their sponsorship. This years tourney was held in conjunction with St. Patty's Day weekend giving it a unique spin on the tourney. "Show us your green pride" was the theme as you'll see with a few of the participants. As always, a great time was had by all who attended. Stay safe!
